For ACW LAW’s 2023 Holiday Public Service Project, we chose Lutheran Family Services – Kinship Care Program. Children who have been removed from their home as a result of abuse or neglect are often placed with family members who volunteer to take them in. Most kinship caregivers are grandparents caring for their grandchildren, and many lack the availability of resources the children desperately need. The Kinship Care Program provides children and families with resources and support they need. The Kinship Care Program touches nearly 55,000 children living in kinship foster homes. We are proud to say our ACW LAW team came together and generously donated $1,000 worth of new and gently used winter clothing, outerwear and blankets to the Kinship Care Program.
